What is happening to my computer?

That CPU has only two cores (as indeed does the whole 600 series), but uses hyper-threading to produce two logical cores on each physical core - hence the 4 graphs on Task Manager. Whilst hyper-threading is not "the real deal" when compared to extra physical cores, it still goes a very long way to improving performance over previous generations of processors.
