Use Hydrogen peroxide 3 or 6 %. Great stuff to kill any infection. Put small amount on infected area twice daily, if your wound becomes fizzy or you see many small bubbles on your skin after applying than it is definitely infection. Use it twice daily, apply small amount until your wound is healed.
